What a wonderful weekend we had! After meeting at Downsview around 3pm on Friday, we headed up to begin our adventure. After check-in, skating was set aside in favour of gathering in one condo, ordering pizza and enjoying a few drinks. Saturday morning was a crisp, sunny day where we participated in a morning snowshoe and after lunch, some continued their snowshoe adventure while others relaxed. We all went for dinner at the Crazy Horse Restaurant and after dinner, two brave folks (Julianne and Yiuyin) decided to take in the moonlight ski by lantern offered due to the full moon. Sunday morning was another sunny, crisp morning that started with a group breakfast at the buffet at Silks at the Horseshoe Resort, and then we went tubing! Tubing was so much fun as we acted like children again; Saman in particular was having a real blast! Although hesitant to spin at first, we all quickly realized that spinning was necessary! We went in groups of 2, 3, 4 and 5 (the maximum) and enjoyed several runs for the next 2 hours. After the tubing, we took our last group photo, met at the cars, said our goodbyes and all headed back to the city. As much as the activities and weather made the weekend a huge success, the people really made it what it was; such a great group of folks, everyone got along well, enjoyed each other's company and had so much fun together. I will definitely be planning this trip again next year and also will be planning a June summer adventure at the same location. Thanks to everyone who came along and a special thanks to the drivers who are critical to any activity that is outside of the city.
