There were 13 people on today's hike. It was a beautiful day, around 24C. Rain was forecast for later in the afternoon, so we hiked in the best part of the day.

This was Shelly's volunteer training hike. She set the pace and did a great job. Thanks, Shelly.

As we hiked along Grenadier Pond there were lots of mallard ducks. The pond has lots of duck weed and the water lilies are in bloom. Walking east along the waterfront we saw cormorants, trumpeter swam, Canada geese and a family of mallard ducks with 6 newly hatched babies.

We completed the 10.2k in 2 hr 20 min, a 4.37 kph pace. Excluding washroom breaks the average pace was 4.7 kph.

$19.25 was collected in voluntary donations, thank you.
