What a beautiful day we had for our hike ... warm temperatures and nothing buy sunny skies. We had 3 last minute cancellations and 1 no show leaving us with 8 fun folks departing Warden Station shortly after 9am. We walked through Warden Woods, Taylor Creek and then the Lower Don until we reached Pottery Road, where we turned left. From there we climbed the big hill, turned right on Broadview Avenue, left on Danforth and walked east to Brass Taps Pizza Pub, arriving promptly at noon. Upon arrival, everyone enjoyed a cold beverage while we waited for our food. Most enjoyed one of the pizzas from the extensive pizza menu, while one tried the fish and chips. Service was a tad slow but luckily, noone was in a hurry. As usual, we had a great group of people, and everyone had a fun time. In all, we covered 12.9km at an average pace of 5.1km/hr. Thanks so much to those who came out. $4 was collected in voluntary donations.
