Write Up:

The presentation took place after MEC's normal shopping hours; however some members decided to kill two birds with one stone and showed up early to do their own shopping.

The presentation was given by Sacred Rides and the footage was part of their scouting tour for their new offering, Mountain Biking in Peru. Now they didn't actually bike up the Inca trail as it involved many steps. They mountain biked through areas that received very little visitors and ended up taking a train through Sacred Valley (rather than the hike most people do) and a bus up to Machu Pichu. The scenery was still stunning and it's a ride that anyone with good physical fitness should be able to endure.

The best part of the presentation was probably the after-party where most of us gathered at the Duke of Argyle. We chatted a bit about the presentation and thought the delivery and "selling" of it could have been improved. The presenter did not stir up enough enthusiasm about the trip and many of us left thinking, "We could organize our trip probably." We quickly moved on to other topics about past travel endeavours and the trips we're all dreaming of doing in the future.

I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Liz, Deborah, Debra, Dave, and Ehren who were all joining us for their first event. You're all super cool and we hope to see you on future events.
