Write Up:
What looked like a gloomy, rainy day cleared up just in time for our Hike for a Movie event. In the end, we had beautiful weather throughout the event.

The group met at Broadview Subway and we walked at a leisurely pace down the Don Valley Trail to the waterfront trail, and all the way to the Harbourfront Centre. Along the way, we took a break to explore Toronto's two new waterfront parks - Sherbourne Commons and Sugar Beach - where we debated the merits of whether a game of ultimate frisbee could be played in the park without throwing the frisbee in the lake.

We got to the Harbourfront Centre with some time to spare before the start of the movie which was announced to be The Tourist with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. After a long introduction in which Now Magazine's movie critic thoroughly lowered our expectations by giving his scathing opinion of the film, we mostly agreed afterwards that the movie was fun albeit bordering on the absurd.

Thanks to everyone for braving the possibility of a rainy day and coming out to enjoy the hike and the movie!
