It was a great day for a hike - not too cold, and not much wind. Mono Cliffs is a lovely park with fairly flat trails, and lots of them! We started out by inadvertently hiking both sections of the Southern Outlier Trail, but took it in stride and headed north on the Cliff Top Trail where we descended into Jacob's Ladder - very cool - check it out next time you are in the park. We lunched at McCarston Lake, took in a great view on the Lookout Trail, and came upon a recent deer kill - the coyotes had made quick work of it and there wasn't much left of the buck. The day ended at the pub in the basement of Mono Cliffs Inn, where we warmed up, played some interesting games and watched a model train circle the rails around the perimeter of the pub. Thanks to everyone who came out!
