Doing the 1st loop on Western Uplands in just 2 days is a very ambitious goal at this time of the year. The challenges include unpredictable weather and very short days.
Campsites for a larger group are somewhat limited at the north end of this loop. We've decided to do a long and hilly 20km Day 1 and an easier 12km Day 2.
Our group did really well during the entire trip and I am proud of everyone who participated. The people were experienced, prepared and most importantly had the right attitude to handle all challenges.
