Write Up:

We had a foggy drive to the ranch. Once we got there the fog lifted and it was a pleasant 12C morning. Our ride was delayed a bit but we saddled up and headed out around 12 noon. The group split up with people who wanted to run and those who wanted to walk their horses.

I wanted to run but my horse took some convincing to get going.

The hour went fast and we were back for our hot lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches, soup, fruit, hot chocolate and lemon-aid. Stuffed, we car shullted over to the Badlands.

It was really busy with over 20 cars parked along the road side. We spent some time exploring the Badlands and took a few photos. We decided to bushwhack to the Bruce trail junction at the road crossing. Across the road, the trail headed NE to the old quarry just north of the Badlands.

At the old quarry we took a short break and checked out a beaver chewed fallen tree.

On our way back we injected in a little Gary Survival Series GPS bearing bushwhacked. The group played ManTracker and managed to follow me back to out parked cars on the road side.

See you all soon Gary
