The day started gray and cold, which promoted some last minute cancellation. Fully understood. But for those who showed up sharp at 10:00 am, the bike tour turned out to be a perfect one, pleasant wind, lots of sunshine, gorgeous lake view. Well, perfect may be an overstatement. Nobody was prepared for the hordes of bugs flying towards us like crazy, to a point that we cannot speak for fear of swallowing the unwelcom. The bug attack was particularly serious in Ajax, our starting and finishing town. At one point, the group had to stop to wipe out bugs from our clothes, faces, and even eyes. Nevertheless, we reached our destination in Oshway beach on time and enjoyed the sunbathed beach, but short of the normal summer crowd. The return journey was smooth and the bug attack appeared to be less annoying with a little pick up of the wind.
