Sat, Mar 27 2010 - Oak Ridges Trail Hike-Stouffville (View Original Event Details)

Write Up:

Distance- 26.8km. Duration- 5:05:00 (not including lunch break)

Although this Stouffville section of the ORT does not have much road-walking, it was still fairly flat and the trail was generally wide enough to drive a vehicle on in many places. This combined with the chilly temperatures enable us/coerced us to keep a pretty quick pace.

We did encounter horses on a few occasions, friendly doggies and someof us were able to stock up on fresh maple syrup and other maple goodies at Horton's Tree farm (they did have maple coffee, made me wonder)

All in all a good day to be out hikin', I thank the four of you for coming along while I experiment with relatively unchartered trail (well for me).
