Wed, Jun 28 2006 - An Inconvenient Truth (View Original Event Details)
|
An extremely powerful film. Al Gore presents his message in a straightforward, 'easy-to-understand even for the scientifically challenged' format. The interspersing of his personal reminiscences with the lecture hall presentation that is the primary venue allows us to see how one man has been affected by, and in turn is affecting others with this absolutely necessary, for our times message. Sadly, his audience, and probably the one in most cinema viewings, are all ready on-side - a classic case of preaching to the converted. The people who desparately need to see, understand and act on this message won't be found anywhere near a showing. If ever there was a call to arms for a grass-roots movement, this is it. Miss it at your peril.
