Sat, Mar 21 2009 - Spring Hike at Hilton Falls (View Original Event Details)
|
We embarked on our journey at around 11am (it was still rather cold, but the sun was shining). Some trails were already dry, but icy and muddy sections were in abundance as well. We visited the Falls, then followed the Bruce side-trail north until the Conservation Area boundary [where we arrived surprisingly fast]. After exploring some unmarked trail for a little while we stopped for lunch, then headed back via Beaver Dam Trail. Going around Hilton Falls Reservoir completed our ~15km hike.
We headed to the Ivy Arms Pub in Milton after the hike. We had a good time there, though some people found that pub might not be the best place for ordering fancy dishes.
