Another brilliant comedy from the warped minds that brought you Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgundy. Where Anchorman was just surreal in parts, Talledega Nights pokes fun at the good ole boy world of race car drivin' [tm], and sponsored by WonderBread. Ricky Bobby has even sold out saying grace, giving thanks to his sponsors while praising the Baby Jesus. But then Sasha Baran Cohen walks on the screen and steals the show. If you have never seen Ali G, you might not know what a comedic genius this guy is...Jo and I had a good idea what we were getting into and Jim was just looking for a light break from writing his thesis. The only disappointment of the evening is that I heard that some theatres showed a preview of the movie 'Borat' and we didn't get that. :(
