Write Up:
This was a GREAT day for a bike ride. The skies were a little cloudy but the air was dry and just a little cool--perfect for a fall ride through the ravines and along the lakeshore of eastern Toronto. We started, as planned, at Main Station and had a short ride along roads to reach the "trailhead" at Taylor Creek park. From there on, we were on mixed-use pathways for almost the entire three hours of our trip. We stopped for an early lunch at Edwards Gardens and finished the ride with an ice cream at Ed's Real Scoop on Queen Street East. We even met and talked to Ed!! By the way, if you've never had his ice cream then you must make a special trip out here for it--try the chili and chocolate or the pumpkin which, I've been told, is pretty toothsome.
