September 13, 2008 We all met up at 10:15am at Eglinton West subway station, there was about 17 people in total and we had perfect hiking weather, cloudy and about 20 degrees and no rain. It was a very nice hike of about 11 km through the heart of the city except for the most part you would not know you were in the city, well, except for the parts where we had to cross roads or hike through the cemetery, which was very cool. The pace was just right although we had to push ourselves the last little bit to get up the stairs at the end and back to Yonge St and St. Clair. Min was our leader and she did a great job to explain the hike at the outset and pointing out some important details along the way. We stopped at the Don Valley Brick Works and toured through an organic farmer's market which had some crafts and art as well. All in all it was a great hike with a really nice group of people and we didn't even have to drive anywhere! Don
