Write Up:
Zanita, David A, and I had quite a lovely ride on the Georgian Trail on July 5th. It was a picture-perfect day for riding. There was abundant sunshine. While the temperature was hot, there was a very welcome cool breeze in the vicinity of Georgian Bay, which we fully enjoyed. We had lunch in Meaford, which happened to be celebrating its annual town fair, with art show and live band. We walked out to the end of the breakwater in the downtown, and delighted in the water's sound as it lapped against the rocks. We left TO at about 8:30 a.m. and returned to T.O. by about 7:45 p.m. During our ride of 70 km, we had an average speed of about 23 km per hour.
