What a great day for my first event... the sun was shining, we got fresh air and people signed up even though it was such an early start! We got into Orangeville with all the other volunteers and within an hour or so we had approximately 800 trees planted. It was amazing how quickly and smoothly it all went. Johnathan almost had a new bike to bring home after finding it abandoned in the field but unfortunately it was a little beyond repair. Afterwards we had a hamburger and hotdog bbq put on by the Credit Valley Conservation team. All in all it was a great day and a great cause to be able to help out with.
