Write Up:

Another great airshow. Though it was quite warm, there was a bit of a breeze coming off the lake. The Blue Angels (formally known as the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron) fly Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornets. They put on an excellent 45 minute show.

Near the end, 2 of the 6 jets were approaching from the lake right over our heads and we heard a sonic boom which sounded like a stick of dynamite going off nearby. (I am guessing what a stick of dynamite sounds like since I have never heard that) But it was a very very sharp, cracking boom!

Then there were a few prop planes doing loops etc.

After a long period of time of nothing going on and then seeing a Boeing CH-47 Chinook tandem-rotor helicopter (which was somewhat interesting since we don't see those frequently) we decided to leave.

As we were walking back through the High Park zoo, we heard and saw a CF-18 flying with a T-33. A most enjoyable event!
