Sat, May 17 2008 - Warblers & Whimbrels (View Original Event Details)

Event Coordinator(s): Rob M.
Participants:Rob M., Hannah, Lisa B, Cat

Write Up:
The weather was better than expected and although there were no Whimbrel to be found, there was an otherwise decent selection of migrants. Lisa told us about her birdwatching experience in Costa Rica and Cat was already familiar with Col Sam Smith Park because she takes a walk there every evening. Our species total was 56 and highlights included Cooper's Hawk (on the nest), Wood Thrush, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Northern Mockingbird, Wilson's Warbler, and Mourning Warbler.
