Itinerary:

This winter hike will take us through several of the side trails in the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park and the Belfountain Conservation Area, including the Trimble Side Trail, the Crow's Nest Side Trail, and the Quarryman Side Trail. We will be hiking between 14K and 17K, over moderate and sometimes steep terrain.

Dress in layered clothing avoiding anything cotton; icers or crampons are strongly recommended. There will be no drop-outs. This hike is not suitable for beginners.

Following the hike, we will be stopping at the Spirit Tree Estate Cidery.

  • water (minimum 1.5L)
  • lunch/snacks
  • good hiking boots
  • weather appropriate clothing - no cotton/jeans
  • clean shoes to change into after the hike

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $27.86 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Tuesday, April 16, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

Notes:
  • Any parking or park costs will be added to the group carpool cost.
  • If we are short carpool drivers, those on the waiting list indicating they are 'willing to drive' may be given priority.
