Itinerary:
Hike For A Slice, Part IV, a special afternoon edition since this pizza joint closes early in the evening.

The hike will start at Kennedy Station. We will hike south along some neighbourhood streets and walking trails. Then we will head south through Warden Woods, then continue on more neighbourhood streets and through some parks. Eventually we'll make our way to Kingston Rd & Victoria Park Ave where the hiking part of the event will end.

Following the hike I will take anyone so inclined to a local pizza joint for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizzeria offers an interesting variety of nice thin crust, stone baked slices with a few vegetarian options. Unfortunately there are limited transit options at the end, so be prepared to walk 10-15 minutes to get to the subway or streetcar. See the map below for all your options.

The route is 10.5km long and we will be hiking at a moderate pace of 4.5-5.0km/h with a few short breaks, so it should take about 2 - 2.5 hours. We will be walking mostly on sidewalks and paved trails with a few dirt and gravel trails, so I would suggest a good pair of hiking shoes. The route is fairly flat with a few small hills and some ups and downs throughout.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 3pm. I will turn my phone to silent once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike.

This hike will go forward rain or shine.

See map below for start/end points and the rough hiking route. Click the points on the map for transit information.
