Toronto Island Photo Walk (6/7/2015)

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the TOC.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

Itinerary:


Grab your camera gear + let's go explore Toronto Islands on a Sunday morning. We'll be meeting INSIDE the ferry docks at 9:15AM and taking the 9:30 AM ferry to Hanlan's Point. There can be a line to tickets so plan on arriving about 9am. Bring snacks, water and maybe a sandwich as food on the island is expensive. We will stop to eat at a picnic table when we get hungry but it may not be near any fast food places! We will be heading back to the city by 1 pm although people can stay longer if they wish.

PACE: it's a photo walk so don't expect a workout. Priority for people into photography and a good attendance record. No Show if you drop out after the cut off.

Finally this walk proceeds rain, or hopefully, shine. Only sign up if you are an all-weather walker.

The Toronto Ferry Docks is located at the foot of Bay Street and Queens Quay, just West of the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel.

Direction by TTC

From union station take the 509 Harbourfront or the 510 Spadina streetcar south to the Bay and Queen's Quay Stop. Alternately, take the Bay Bus #6 southbound from the corner of Front and Bay to the Bay and Queen's Quay stop.

The entrance to the ferry docks is on the south side of the street, just east of the Westin Harbour Castle hotel.

Walk / Drive

Main entrance at foot of Bay St on Queens Quay. Enter through park and enter via walkway between Harbour Castle Westin Hotel and Harbour Castle condominiums. Parking is available 1 block north at Lakeshore and Bay, 1 block west on Queens Quay between Bay and York Sts, 1 block east opposite Toronto Star building adjacent to Captain Johns restaurant.
