Itinerary:

So, I don't have any plans this Friday evening, so I'm posting this TOC event instead.

We'll be starting at York Mills Station, and ending at Sheppard Station.

Total distance is about 10 KM and we'll be walking at about 4.5-5.0 km/h.

I'm expecting most of the hike to be on snow, so hiking boots or hiking boots or winter boots are a good idea.

Oh, and I get to torture you with 2 hills, so get excited about that.

Following the hike, I'll probably head over to a local watering hole for a pint, if you want to come, but its not mandatory.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Flashlight / Headlight
  • Hiking shoes / Hiking boots, a good idea
  • Water/Snacks
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Poles
  • Icers or traction devices are also a good idea.

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

York Mills Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway line, seven stops north of Bloor. The SOUTH entrance (Old York Mills Road) is one block south of York Mills/Yonge intersection.

If your on the subway, follow the signs to 'Old York Mills Road' when you get off the train. THE EXIT IS ALSO ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE PLATFORM. (if you don't know where the south side of the platform is, follow the direction of the southbound trains).

If you are coming by car, get off the 401 at Yonge St and travel south, Old York Mills Road is located one block south of York Mills / Wilson.
