PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the TOC.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

Itinerary:
Highlands Nordic is still open for 3 more weeks and is expecting reasonable conditions this weekend. They are getting snow on Thursday. They suggest glide wax.

The trail pass costs $17 per person. Equipment rental and trail pass package costs $35 per person. Both are tax inclusive.

We will ski in small group according to your level and pace. There is a chalet with food and drinks, though it only serves basic food. Therefore, you might want to bring your own lunch.

If enough drivers and passengers want to we can have dinner in the nearby village of Creemore.

When you arrive at Highlands Nordic, please go to the chalet and tell the person selling trail passes that you are with the Toronto Outdoor Club and would like the group rate. If you need to rent equipment too, ask for the group rental form. Fill it out and pass it on to the next person from our group who needs to rent equipment.

WHEN YOU SIGN UP PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS IN THE NOTES SECTIONS - Just paste the questions there and then answer them.

For drivers, and possible drivers…
1. How many passengers can you take with you, if you take skis and if you don’t take Skis? Also, can you take skis on roof racks? Important for people with long skis.
For everyone...
2. Are you taking skis up with you? Or will you rent them?
3. If you are taking your skis, how long are they? – Please estimate if you are unsure.

We will leave Highlands Nordic by 3:30 or 4 pm., be at at Downsview by about 6:00pm.

Required Items to Bring:
Dress in layers according to temperature. Cash for you part of the carpool, trail pass. And equipment rentals, lunch and dinner(if nec.).

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $72.24 (calculated at total Km * $0.258, effective Saturday, April 27, 2024). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

Cost Includes:Trail pass cost $17.00 for the day. If you need to rent, equipment costs is $35.00 which including trail pass for the day as well. Group trail pass is $13 and for equipment rental and trail pass $30.
