Itinerary:

OK, so this hike starts at Bruce Trail but is one of those exploratory detours from the Bruce Trail, that will likely add even more years to my goal of completing the Bruce Trail....

We will our start the hike around Albion Falls, and take Red Hill Recreational Trail down to Confederation Park on Lake Ontario. We look for a place to eat lunch - Possibly Hutch's On the Beach. Bring your own lunch or $ to buy something. We will then continue along Hamilton and Burlington (beach) waterfronts - hopefully, we are able to take our shoes off while walking on the beach sections of our hike. We probably need to go back onto the paved trail periodically, so bring a towel to dry your feet for putting shoes back on. We will end our hike around Beachway Park in Burlington.

The organizer will be bringing camera and a tripod along and will stop frequently to take photos. THOU SHALL WAIT AS NECESSARY FOR HER AND THE REST OF THE GROUP TO CONTINUE. If you think you'll have uncontrollable urges to sprint ahead or to continuously be on the move, this is NOT an event for you .

Average hiking pace will be approx. 4 to 5 km/h. Other than coming down the escarpment, the route will be mostly flat. The stated distance is approximate, as we will need to explore and find our way along some of the sections. Please ensure you can hike the distance at the specified pace BEFORE you sign up. Since the plan is to walk the beach, no pets are permitted on the hike.

BE PREPARED: We will hike as a group. Again, if you think you may be sprinting ahead... don't sign up!

We will be hiking rain or shine. Dress in layers for the weather.

The event involves a car shuttle. Those who are willing to drive will be moved preferentially off the waiting list. The event will be cancelled if there are not enough drivers signed up. More participants will be added if there are enough drivers. Please plan to be out all day.
