Itinerary:

NOTE: The carpool leaves Kennedy Subway Station at 9:15 AM SHARP. The trail contains a variety of conifer plantations and natural forest stands and has a few steep climbs with one steep descent and some rolling hills. The terrain is a mix of sand and gravel. There is an open meadow near the 9km mark which will be perfect for our lunch stop. Note that there are no facilities on this trail so be prepared to use the woods and be prepared to pack out your toilet paper.

This is a SLOWPOKE hike so we will be hiking at the pace of the slowest hiker, and we'll stick together as a group. It is suitable for beginners as the terrain is not too challenging, but you must be confident that you can hike for the entire 15km. If this is your first hike and you are not certain of your fitness level, this may not be the hike for you. Additionally, if you’re a really fast hiker, this is NOT the event for you – sorry!

Individuals willing to drive will get first priority on the wait list.
