This ride takes us out of the urbanized GTA into the countryside within 6 kms on relatively low traffic roads. We will then travel north and then east on country roads to Georgetown. It is mostly gently up hill going north until we turn east where will deal with a few bigger hills. But none are to difficult. There is a short section along Steeles Ave, where we will have to deal with heavier traffic volumes. We will eat lunch in a café in Georgetown, before retracing our route back to Oakville.

We will meet at Union Station at the GO ticket wickets in the lower level - near Bay Street, at 9:25 am about 20 minutes before the train leaves. We will buy return tickets and use the elevator to get our bikes to the platform. Ideally, there should only be a maximum of 4 bikes to a carriage, two at each end. Bikes are places behind and in front of the 2 vertical steel poles, next to the seats as you walk in the door. Please allow passengers to get on board first. After a 40-minute train ride we will disembark at the Oakville GO station

If you would like, you can meet us at Oakville GO Station at 10:20 am. on the north side of the tracks in the parking lot.

We will probably catch the 4:28 or the 5:28 pm train back to Union station
