Lansing Loop (11 KM) (2/20/2012)

Itinerary:

It's family day, so there's nothing better than going for a hike, an urban hike that is.

We will hit up the neighborhood of Lansing in downtown North York. We will meet up at the North-East corner of Sheppard Ave & Yonge St.

We will follow this route

  1. Leave from the N.E. corner of Yonge/Sheppard
  2. South through the neighborhood of west lansing
  3. South through Franklin Park
  4. West through the Don Valley Golf Course
  5. West through the neighborhood of Armour Heights
  6. North-East through Earl Bales Park
  7. North-West through Burnett Park
  8. East through York Cemetery
  9. End at North York Centre Station

Total distance = 11 KM


Required Items to Bring:

Good footwear - Hiking boots/hiking shoes recommended, some trails may be slippery/muddy

The North East Corner is located just outside the Sheppard-Yonge Subway Station

Sheppard-Yonge Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway line and is the west terminal for the Sheppard Subway line

For those exiting the subway, please exit at the Sheppard Centre exit.
