HIKE FOR A KEG

Hey let's take a wee hike over to Black Oak Brewery, where they are celebrating 11 years of creating awesome beer. $20 cash at the door will cover your food + drink for the evening, plus there will be a live jazz band and other treats. Black Oak haven't announced what beers they will be creating for sure but expect a variety, there should be plenty to try and something for everyone. (Fingers crossed for some of the Nutcracker Porter + Ten Bitter Years). For the curious, here is a guide to craft beer styles. Food is by Local Four.

TRANSIT: Look for everyone at 5:30 pm at Union Station in the GO ticket hall (by the automatic ticket booths beside the staircases to platforms 3-5). You'll need to buy a ticket for the 17:43 pm train to Mimico on the Lakeshore West line. Leave plenty of time to get your ticket! From Mimico it's just a short hike (~2km) to the brewery. If you miss us at Union, we'll wait briefly for stragglers along the footpath to Royal York Rd as you exit Mimico station. Our train arrives @ Mimico at 17:56.

To avoid people drinking and driving there will be no meeting at the brewery. (There's no parking anyway!) Please bring $5-$10 extra cash to share taxis to Islington TTC or the GO train back to Union.
