Itinerary:

People have been asking for a game of shinny hockey. However, that involves me skating, which is something I'm really bad at.

So road hockey. We will be playing at Riverdale East Park in the arena, which has permanent nets.

Everyone’s welcome, from professionals right through to beginners! We’ll take some time to go over the rules, and practice.

Otherwise, the main point will be to get a tennis ball using your stick in the net to score a goal.

This is just a recreational game, so only stick on stick contact will be permitted.

Otherwise, come out and enjoy Canada's greatest sport.

Feel free to wear a hockey jersey

Event Directions:

DIRECTIONS

Get off the subway at Broadview Station on the Bloor/Danforth Subway line.

TO WALK: Once, you've exited the turnstiles, take a left (south) on broadview and it will take you in the direction of the park. The park is on the opposite side of the subway entrance and about a 5-10 minute walk south to RIVERDALE PARK.

To Transit Down: Take ether streetcar from Broadview Station four stops south and then exit the streetcar, the park should be right in front of you.

NOTE: If you follow a road without streetcar tracks, you've gone the wrong way.

We will meet in the arena, which is in the NORTH end of the park, beside the tennis courts & swimming pool.

I will keep my cellphone on until 7:15 PM, just in case anyone is lost.
