Itinerary:

This is your opportunity to meet the team that makes this club happen, make suggestions, ask questions and other fun stuff. Some of the things that occur at the meeting:

  • Election of new officers! You won't have the opportunity to elect a new President this year, but we will have some other seats up for grabs, like an additional Vice-president position. In the coming months look out for nominations and bios, and we'll vote them in at the meeting.
  • Member awards! Soon you'll get a chance to nominate members for all sorts of awards - best carpool driver? Best wipe out on a hike? Fanciest gear award? Nominate your friends, think up a category.
  • Vision for the coming year! The Pres will give a boring speech about what she's been doing, and what she plans for the future. This is an opportunity for you to speak up and be heard!
  • photography awards! We'll pick some of the best photos in a variety of categories - best people pictures, best landscape, etc.

We are planning a lot of things for this meeting, but most of all it's just an opportunity to schmooze and meet some members you may not have met on the trail.

Be aware that this is not a formal meal, but a party, and you should either eat beforehand or bring yourself something to eat. It is also BYOB.

Given the season/timing of this event/party members are encouraged to come in costume to add an extra element of self-expression to our organization.
