Itinerary:

Do you ever stare at a map and wonder where that green space goes to.
This happens to me a lot, which suggests either I need a girlfriend or a more interesting hobby.
Regardless, today's hike will be the result of me staring at a map and trying learn where several new green spaces in the city that I've never been go to.
If it works out, great, if not then I've learned.

This 14 KM hike will both start and finish at Glencairn Subway Station.

The hike will be on a combination of sidewalks, paved park paths and single track dirt trails.

In terms of hills, there should be one climb of 50 meters and 3 smaller climbs of 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at the Amesbury Community Centre located about 7 KM into the hike.

For those unfamiliar with how I lead my hikes.

  • If you see me walking at a certain pace, you don’t have to walk at the same pace as me (I like to talk to different people on a hike, so I walk I different paces)
  • If you’d like to walk faster than me, that’s cool, if you like to walk slower than me, that’s cool too
  • We’ll meet up as a group when we take a major turn, cross a major intersection or if I think the group is getting too far separated.
  • We’ll do a water break, breather and sure everyone is aliver
  • I have two requests:
    1. If you choose to walk in front of me and you don’t know where you’re going, please stop and wait as I ain’t going to chase after y'all.
    2. Please no harassment, or else you won’t be welcomed back.
