Hike For A Beverage from Jane Station (10 KM) (8/28/2024)

Itinerary:

Welcome to my Hike For A Beverage, where we'll be walking to a brewery in the city.

You must be 19 or older to sign up for this hike, if you're going to the brewery.

This 10 KM hike will start at Jane station and end near the corner of Weston & St Clair.

There will be on a combination of sidewalks, gravel trails, grassy fields and multi use pathways.

In terms of hills, there will a few moderate ones.

Re washrooms, We'll stop about 5 KM into the hike.

NOTE: Just a warning that food options are limited at this location, so you may want to bring your own.


Required Items to Bring:
  • Hiking boots or hiking shoes
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Money for the pub
  • Recommended Items to Bring:

  • First Aid Kit
  • Whistle
  • Sunscreen

    Event Directions:

    Jane Subway Station is located on the Bloor Subway (Line 2), 10 stops west of St. George and 4 stops east of Kipling.

    There are a couple of exits at Jane Station. Look for me at the exit closest to Jane Street, near the bus entrance.
    If it's cold or wet, I'll be just inside the station doors.

    For those who are driving, the station entrance is located on the north east side of Jane/Bloor.
    In terms of parking, there's a parking lot located one block east of Jane and just north of Bloor.

    Please arrive on time, I will probably ignore my cell phone once the hike begins.
