EARLY SPRING HIKE FOR BEER + SAUSAGES! Nothing like starting the week off right with a decent hike, followed by beer and sausages! We'll meet at Runnymede station, walk south through High Park and then east along the Waterfront trail towards downtown. After the hike we'll go for a quick pint and sausages... Fellow foodies: The sausages will definitely appeal to adventurous eaters... rabbit, duck, kangaroo... fortunately there are some great choices for us vegetarians, and traditional beef, pork + chicken too. Meat is all natural with no byproducts, fillers, growth hormones or other ikky stuff ;) Please do not sign up if you are not coming out afterwards. DOGS:Dogs are always welcome on hikes but can't go into the restaurant. CHOCOLATE: Any big fans of European chocolate - show up at 6:30 pm + I will take you to a nearby store that has a super selection of European chocolate bars and other goodies. Yum. :) NO SHOWS: Anyone dropping out after the registration cutoff will receive an Automatic No Show. Due to the high turnover on previous events the hike leader may give priority to regular D3 hikers with decent attendance records. DIFFICULTY: We will be hiking in a group at about 4.5 km/hr and everyone must stay within earshot of the group for safety reasons. There is no telling in advance how muddy or slippery the trails may be, so please come prepared with good boots. If you have poor night vision also remember a flash light. :) NOTE... If you are new to my hikes. Weather: hikes go ahead rain or shine, so if that's not for you, check the forecast the week before + remove yourself well in advance of the cutoff. Food + craft beer: Yum! I'm a international beer judge and foodie so beer + treats usually show up somewhere on my events... Bring extra cash just in case! Last min dropouts: Please don't! People who sign up for loads of events + then frequently drop out may be removed. :( Dogs are usually welcome! MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS Unfortunately if we fall below the minimum number of participants the hike may be cancelled. | |||||||
