Mother Nature was very kind and set the conditions to have a great Fall trip to Algonquin's backcountry. The temperature was pleasantly cool and dry for hiking; the overnight temperatures dropped to freezing, creating misty scenes over the lakes; and the colours were at peak.
The first day was the easiest, as we had a short hike to get to our first campsite. That said, the troop was excited about the very long hikes ahead for days two and three... and they were more than prepared for the challenge. Adding few kilometres to the official length of the second loop was totally worthy!
