A nice little hike, just enough to work up a bit of an appetite.

Everyone had a great dinner, and was transfixed watching the chef cook our food in front of us.

While hiking in Charles Sauriol Conservation Area, just 50 feet in front of us, a deer bolted across our path. It ran so quickly, that at first a few of us thought it was a very large dog. It disappeared into the woods as fast as it had appeared. I wondered aloud if any hiker had been knocked to the ground (or killed) by a deer bolting across a path. hmmmm.

Donations collected: $12.00
