Write Up:
The plan was to do 10-15km hike. After about 6km we did not find a camp so we decided to press on for another 4km...which actually turned out to be 6 km through some pretty overgrown trail and lots of blow down that hasn't been cleared. It was a tough 6 km with the toughest being the last 2k up and down rock faces while being bombarded by mosquitoes and deer fly. By the time we got to camp we were jubilant but exhausted. We thought we might pack up the next day and try a campsite closer to our exit but instead we opted to stay at the same spot for the day and a second night. We all did our own things for the day and thankfully the bug action subsided to next to nil. Dane gave swimming lessons. Liz (superstar) read her book. I slept. Next day we prepared for the crazy hike out. We made it in good time and barely lost the trail. Exhausted we found a good place in Coboconk to have a meal before we departed ways for the city. Thanks to everyone who came on the trip!
