Another great hike at Rouge River Conservation Area. After sorting out some parking issues (No Parking signs were up at the usual spot), the group of 15 (plus Skye the gorgeous white german shepherd) headed off on the trail. The weather was perfect - mild and sunny and very comfortable. The trail was drier than expected and not too challenging although with a few steep ascents/descents. It meanders between mixed forest and open areas with many great views of the river and the creek. Another great group of TOC members made the hike most enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who came out and as always to our car pool drivers. Julianne P.S. - For the record, we hiked exactly 10.3km at an average moving pace of 4.4 km/hr. $14 was collected in voluntary donations.
