After a well anticipated return to our quest for a badge, we headed out to conquer yet one more leg of the Caledon section of the Bruce Trail. Having warmer temps lately made tracking wild turkeys a breeze. Some of the birds in the area were of significant size. From even the backwoods amazing views can be appreciated, the rolling Caledon hills can be seen for miles. History can be felt as we stopped to appreciate some yesteryear structures still adorning the landscape. Though some folks commented on the amount of roadway this section takes us on, it was quickly squashed. Trekking through some sections, a common laughter could be heard by all who fought to push back winters snowy depths. Though many of us were in top shape the pace was slowed to a crawl by knee deep snow.

Thanks to so many who have stayed determined to achieve their badge, your commitment to the success of “Hike for a Badge” is greatly appreciated. Lets never forget the carpool drivers, they continue to show up and put forth their unwavering support. You are all an amazing bunch and deserve the highest regards and thanks!
