Write Up:

There were five of us on this morning's hike. The weather was clear and cold, -10C, and -22C with windchill.

After the ice storm, the parks and the beltline looked like a war zone. This is the main feature of the whole hike. We had to climb over, around and through fallen trees and / or branches. We used icers (or equivalent) and they were very helpful.

When we approached the beltline from The Allen Expressway, there was a yellow caution tape because Toronto Hydro had a truck working on the trail. Lucky for us, they finished as we got there. As they drove away, we saw a "hare" run away and hide in a bush.

There was less traffic noise today but this was replaced by the sound of generators, as power was still out in many places.

$4.00 was collected in voluntary donations and 2 - 2014 badges were sold. Thank you.
