Mon, Dec 2 2013 - Donlands Station - Christmas Lights Walk, 10k (View Original Event Details)

Write Up:

There were two people on tonight's hike. The temperature was a mild +4C.

This was the first Christmas / Holiday light walk for this season and it was quite interesting. Light varied from modest to very ornate. There were lights just around a window frame, and there were lights in a huge tree, up at least four stories high. I'm not sure how they got them up there.

It was surprising that there were almost no lights decorating Ryerson University and U of T. Queen's Park had a beautiful tree with light & ornaments on the south side, in front of the legislature building.

Some of my favourite decorations were in Yorkville; they had a 1900's feel.

We finish the 10k hike in 1 hr, 35 mins, a 6.3 kph pace.

$0.00 was collected in voluntary donations.
