We were a small but enthusiastic group. The snow conditions were not looking very promising as we drove up, causing us to have concerns about whether it would be possible to do any snow related activities. Thankfully, there was snow in Kolapore when we arrived. Although the snow was not ideal, the weather was warm allowing for long stretches outside. Given that the snow conditions didn't look great skiing, we all opted for snow-shoeing on Saturday with a plan to go to Nordic Highlands to ski on Sunday. The trek to the top of Mountd'Alagerie gave a good view of the valley. On Saturday afternoon, part of the group headed in a different direction from the morning excursion and agreed that the snow looked considerably better. After returning to switch snow shoes for skis, they skied until dusk. A ski through the County Forest trails on Sunday required avoiding bare spots here and there but passable trails for the most part. Thanks to Bernadette for being our wonderful driver and Stian for doing a huge load of dishes!
