Write Up:
It was a gorgeous, sunny Saturday when our little group of 10 people headed out to Limehouse Conservation Area on the Niagara Escarpment.

We got off to an adventurous start - the first part of the trail, heading northwest was criss-crossed by limestone chasms with ice on both sides, which made crossing them a little bit exciting.

We headed down a series of ladders through a rock tunnel called Hole- in-the-Wall, crossed a wooden bridge, and stopped at the historic limestone kilns for a snack.

Then we followed the Black Creek side trail along a cliff overlooking the water. Eventually, we rejoined the main Bruce Trail and left the woods to traverse a farmer's field. The terrain was snowy and muddy until we returned to the woods.

The conditions on our return along the Canada Goose and Brown Benton side trails were better, as the ice had begun to melt and the trail was less slippery, and we made good time as we returned to the parking lot.

We rewarded ourselves for our hard work with a post-hike visit to the Shepherd's Crook pub in Georgetown.

Thanks to all who came out and to Fletcher, who was Emily's sponsor (and a very helpful advisor and mentor) for her first TOC event as a coordinator.
