It was a crisp sunny day in the Dundas Valley, which made for perfect hiking conditions. We started off at Tiffany Falls and then made our way to Sherman and Canterbury Falls, all of which were stunning. There was still water coming down, but the falls were also ringed with lovely icicles and some sections had frozen over.

Along the trail we got very lucky and spotted a couple of young male deer just on the slope of the ridge above us, and they must have been used to people because they were kind enough to stand still and pose for a photo! We lunched near Hermitage Falls and took in the remains of the old Hermitage building nearby, then made our way back to the cars.

The day ended off with yummy hot chocolates and pints at the Coach and Lantern, a friendly pub not far from the conservation area.

Thanks to all for coming out and making it a great day!
