Write Up:
It was another fabulous Bruce trail hike! Some summers you just can't catch a break, but this one has blessed us with so many warm and dry (insofar as "not raining" is concerned) weekends!

So 7 of us set off on what was a hot and sunny morning, with threat of rain before the end. But with lady luck at our side, we stayed relatively cool under the forest canopy, and not a drop fell the whole hike! We travelled on the main trail and four different side trails today! Some sections brought us challenging terrain, but we all made it out alive. Really, the best part of the day, that we all kept remarking on, was the lack of mosquitoes!

We saw many a berry and flower that we didn't know, and I took some pictures, so here we go...

Weird white berries with black dot: White Baneberry. (ANYTHING with "bane" in its name is BAD!) Berries are poisonous and can cause death.

Red flowers at the bridge: Cardinal flower (uh, go figure).

Total KM: 11.5
Donations collected $11.50 (coincidence???)
