Within the Royal Botanical Gardens, we explored the Rock Garden, the Hendrie Valley marshes and the boardwalks and the Arboretum trails and look-outs. We also looked into the Mediterranean garden at the RBG centre. The weather did not cooperate – it rained steadily most of the day - except when Toby was wearing his full rain gear – which thankfully to him, allowed us to have lunch in the middle of a marsh enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Lots of different birds were out in full force, so that if you’re a birder, you would have been in paradise. We were too early for the greenery of the trees and the blooms of the flowers but imagining how beautiful the place could be, made us want to come back another time.

Thank you all who came out to this event. The weather did not dampen the spirits of this awesome group.

Thank you to the drivers, Nicolas, Gina and Galina. Thank you also to Nicolas for the discount coupons to the gardens and for the spare change! I especially thank Caroline for all her help and support to me in organizing this event.

Hope to see you all at the next TOC event.

Galina

Donations of $6.50 were received with thanks.
