It was a perfect sunny day for snowshoeing, although it was a bit chilly! The first section of trail was overrun with snowmobiles, so we hit the bush and whacked our way along a ridge to a more remote and peaceful section of the trail. Some sections of the trail were well travelled by other hikers, on others we were breaking fresh snow, and we pretty much had the trail to ourselves once we lost the snowmobilers.

The scenery was breathtaking. This section of the Bruce Trail travels through open farm fields and forested valleys, and there is a section of dense cedar on the Primrose Side Trail that is just lovely to walk through. We scaled Murphy's Pinnacle and were rewarded with a beautiful view.

The day ended at SuperBurger where we enjoyed greasy food and hot chocolate in an old TTC Streetcar.
