It was a cccold, windy and grey day - but that did not deter the riders! We happily bundled up with hats, gloves, jackets, jackets on top of jackets and off we went in 2 separate groups – one novice and the other intermediate to allow more advanced riders a chance to canter. We rode through open fields, on hilltops with beautiful vistas of the Beaver Valley, crossed bridges and streams. Whinny Acres well cared for wonderful horses took us on short jogs and canters while we laughed like kids the entire time! I am pleased to announce that the novice group boldly allowed their horses to go on a short jog as well. Kudos!

After our 2 hour ride, our wonderful hosts prepared a warm and toasty campfire, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, hot dogs, home-made chilli and a home-baked chocolate fudge cake topped with warm chocolate fudge syrup for dessert.

Bellies full and sporting great big smiles, riders are crossing another item of their list and anxiously wondering when the next ride will be!

Thank you to our drivers: Jen Glasser and Stan Dymecki.
