To quote Snoopy, “It was a dark and stormy night...” when some TOCers gathered for Halloween-centric trip to the streetcar museum. We coudn't have ordered up more appropriate weather to help set the tone.

Nobody, other than the organizer, had been before so it was a fresh experience to almost everyone. After a very cool ride in an old streetcar we arrived at a haunted shed where zombies, witches, and more awaited us at every turn.

We made it safely though there and then it was off to a cafe for a brief pit stop. No ordinary cafe though, but another retired streetcar that had been converted to serve this new function.

A second streetcar ride took us to the shed where we got to explore even older trains. Some of us even got to manually trigger a railway crossing system complete with lights and bells too!

From there we made our way to the Mad Scientist's lair where we got to see his crazy experiments thrill the assembled crowd of both kids and adults.

Finally a few of us headed to Mohawk Inn to watch the Leafs lose while we ate some delicious food.

Look for a return TOC trip later this year for when Santa heads to the streetcar museum.
